Pursuant to the terms and provisions of Section 7 of P.L. 1964,
c. 125, (N.J.S.A. 52:14-17.38), as amended, the Mayor and Council
of the City of Hoboken may pay the premium or periodic charges for
the benefits provided to a retired employee and his dependents under
the program, but not including survivors, if such employee retired
from state- or locally-administered retirement system effective on
or after July 1, 1972, on a benefit based on 25 years or more of service
credited in such retirement system, excepting the employee who elected
deferred retirement, but including the employee who retired on a disability
pension based on fewer years of service credited in such retirement
system, and also reimburse such retired employees for their premium
charges under Part B of the Federal Medicare Program covering the
retired employee and the employee's spouse.
Payments will be made as hereinbefore set forth upon certification
by the Division of Pensions of the State of New Jersey to the Treasurer
of the City of Hoboken of the names and addresses of the retired persons
entitled to receive the benefits as provided by statute and/or any
retired employee as above designated who has made payments directed
to the Social Security Medical Insurance.
