A. Except as otherwise provided by law, the Tax Assessor, the Business
Administrator, the Director of Human Services, the Director of Revenue
and Finance, the Director Environmental Services, the City Clerk and
the Collector of Revenue for the City of Hoboken shall be employed
on a full-time basis, devoting their full energies to compliance with
their municipal obligations between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00
p.m., Monday through Friday.
B. The Collector of Revenue shall maintain office hours of 8:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. for each business day from and including the date taxes
are due each quarter, through the last day of any grace period given
by the City for the payment of taxes, or through the day preceding
the date that the City begins to charge interest on outstanding taxes
for that quarter. At all times, the office of the Collector of Revenue
shall be sufficiently staffed and supervised.
