in accordance with the provisions of this article.
The premises on which large animals are maintained shall meet
and constantly conform to the following requirements:
A. The lot involved must consist of two acres or more; the keeping of
one large animal is permitted. The keeping of one additional large
animal is permitted for each one acre on the lot involved over the
minimum of two acres.
B. The location is such as to preclude odors and sounds from interfering
with the comfortable enjoyment of life and property of neighboring
premises.
C. Any structure, building or enclosure to be used for the housing of
such animals shall be located at least 50 feet from the main building
of the site upon which the structure, building or enclosure is situated
and 100 feet from any lot line.
D. Buildings, food storage bins, appliances, equipment, feeding areas
and other facilities on premises are constructed with rat-proofing
material and maintained in such fashion as to permit proper cleansing.
E. An adequate supply of water shall be maintained for the drinking
by the animals.
F. Water or other liquid to which mosquitoes may have access is properly
drained to eliminate the breeding of mosquitoes.
G. Disposition is made of animals wastes, garbage, refuse or vegetable
matter to be removed from the premises in such a manner as to prevent
insect breeding or rodent harborage or pollution of the air or any
body of water, or the creation of any other unhealthy or unsanitary
condition.
H. Rodents or insects hazardous to public health do not exist or reproduce
therein or thereon.
I. Adequate measures are taken to properly fence and cage the large
animals to prevent them from escaping or becoming a public nuisance.
J. No large animals except those which qualify as pets shall be kept
in any dwelling house or building occupied or intended to be occupied
by human beings.
