Borough of Emerson, NJ Article IV Removal for Cause

§ 73-12 Removal; charges; hearing.

The Mayor and Council may remove any member of any board or commission for cause, unless already expressly provided for in this Code. Written charges shall be served by the Administrator upon the member after a vote by the Mayor and Council. Thereafter, the member shall be entitled to a hearing in person, with or without counsel, before the Mayor and Council.
