as follows, and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle

the driver of every such vehicle shall stop the vehicle before proceeding

authorizing stop or yield signs to be erected facing traffic approaching

authorized by this section shall stop the vehicle or yield right-of-way
as required by Section 3323(b) or (c) of the Vehicle Code, as the
case may be, and shall not proceed into or across the through highway
until he has followed all applicable requirements of that section
of the law:

The following intersections (in addition to intersections with the through highways established by § 274-21) are established as stop intersections, and official stop signs shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street (the intersecting or through street) on the first-named street (the stop street) in the direction or directions indicated for that intersection. Every driver of a vehicle approaching the intersection on the first-named or stop street, in the direction indicated in each case, shall stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(b) of the Vehicle Code and shall not proceed into or across the second-named or intersecting or through street until he has followed all applicable requirements of that section of the law.

B.
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
A.
The following intersections (in addition to intersections with the through highways established by § 274-21) are established as yield intersections, and official yield signs shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected) in such a position as to face traffic approaching the second-named street (the through street) on the first-named street (the yield street) in the direction or directions indicated for that intersection. Every driver of a vehicle approaching the intersection on the first-named or yield street, in the direction indicated in each case, shall slow down or stop the vehicle as required by Section 3323(c) of the Vehicle Code, and then yield the right-of-way as required by that subsection of the Vehicle Code.

B.
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
A.
No motor vehicle, including a motorcycle, pedalcycle or minibike,
shall be operated on any property owned by the Borough of West Mifflin
or any other public agency or instrumentality within the Borough of
West Mifflin without the permission of the property owner and a permit
from the Chief of Police of the Borough of West Mifflin.
B.
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon
conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
A.
The following locations are designated as rotary traffic islands,
and every vehicle passing around a rotary traffic island shall be
driven only to the right of the island:

B.
Any person who drives a vehicle otherwise than to the right of any
rotary traffic island shall be guilty of a violation of this section
and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and
costs.

B.
The Chief of Police or his designee is authorized to designate as
play highways, whenever he deems that action advisable, and for whatever
period of time directed by him, any part of any street in the Borough
of West Mifflin where sledding and coasting shall be permitted. That
play highway shall be set apart for the purpose under the direction
of the designated official.
C.
No person shall drive any motor vehicle upon any play highway at
any time when that street shall be designated as a play highway, except
in case of emergency with special permission of the designated official
or of the police officer in charge, who shall first clear that play
highway of all persons using it for the purpose for which it was set
aside. Any person who violates any provision of this subsection shall,
upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.

B.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a snowmobile on any
highway, street or road in the Borough of West Mifflin other than
as provided above, provided nothing in this section shall prohibit
any person from operating a snowmobile on any other street in the
Borough of West Mifflin:
(1)
As authorized by Section 7721 of the Vehicle Code for emergency and
bridge crossings and for direct crossing of streets or two-lane highways;
or
(2)
For special snowmobile events where authorized in advance and the
street is blocked off as provided in Section 7723 of the Vehicle Code.
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be subject
to the penalties prescribed in Section 7752(a) of the Vehicle Code.
A.
Hereafter, it shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle,
tractor or trailer on any fire lane within the territorial limits
of the Borough of West Mifflin. This prohibition shall apply whether
the property is under public control or is privately owned property.
B.
The Police Chief of the Borough of West Mifflin, together with the
Fire Chiefs of the several fire companies serving this Borough, are
hereby appointed and designated as the persons who shall determine
the particular areas to be designated as fire lanes. When an area
shall be so designated, a description of such area shall be submitted
to the Borough Secretary, who shall maintain a record of all areas
designated as fire lanes within the Borough.
C.
All areas designated as fire lanes shall be clearly marked with appropriate
signs or specially painted curbs indicating that the particular area
has been declared to be a fire lane and that the parking of vehicles
thereon is prohibited. If such fire lanes are not so identified by
signs of the type herein specified, the penalty provisions of this
section shall not be applicable.
D.
The Police and Fire Chiefs so designated, any policeman, as well
as any and all necessary personnel or employees of the Borough of
West Mifflin are hereby authorized to enter upon private property,
shopping centers, and other places where the public is invited or
known to frequent or patronize in order to install fire lane signs
on any area designated as fire lanes and to enforce the penalty provisions
of this chapter by traffic tag, citation, or otherwise.
