There shall be a Housing Authority, which shall be managed,
controlled and governed by five members, appointed or elected as provided
in this chapter, of whom three shall constitute a quorum.
The Braintree Housing Authority shall make careful studies of
the housing needs within the Town and shall provide such programs
to make available housing for families of low income and for elderly
persons of low income as it deems to be necessary or desirable and
it may make studies and investigations relative to community development,
including desirable patterns for land use and community growth. The
Housing Authority shall have all of the powers, duties, authorities
and responsibilities as are afforded to such entities under MGL c.
