Any sign, including its supporting structure, which no longer
identifies the current occupant of the property shall be deemed an
abandoned sign after the passage of 90 days from the time the sign
ceased to identify the current occupant. Abandoned signs shall be
removed by the owner of the property on which it is located within
30 days of receiving written notice from the Building Inspector or
the Code Enforcement Officer demanding the sign be removed.
Any sign that in the reasonable opinion of the Building Inspector
or Code Enforcement Officer is unsafe or insecure shall be deemed
an unsafe sign and shall be corrected or removed, together with any
supporting structure, by the owner of the property on which the sign
is located, within 72 hours of written notice by the Office of the
Building Inspector.
