Any license issued to allow and permit the conduct and operation of any business within the Borough of Trainer pursuant to the provisions of any ordinance of the Borough of Trainer may be suspended or revoked by the Borough Council of the Borough of Trainer if the annual license fee is not paid to the Borough of Trainer within 30 days from the due date.
In the event that any said license fee remains due or unpaid 30 days after the due date, the Borough of Trainer may sue for the recovery of any said license fee due or unpaid, together with interest and penalty. Interest at the rate of 12% on the amount of said license fee shall be calculated beginning with the due date of said license fee, and a penalty of 10% shall be added to the flat rate of said license fee for nonpayment thereof. Where suit is brought for the recovery of said license fee, the individual responsible therefor shall, in addition, be responsible and liable for the costs of prosecution.
Prior to the reinstatement of any license suspended or revoked for nonpayment of the annual license fee aforesaid, the licensee shall pay to the Borough of Trainer the annual license fee plus a sum equal to 10% of the annual license fee per month or any portion thereof. Any license suspended or revoked shall not be reinstated following December 31 of the year in which same was suspended or revoked, and in such a case the licensee shall make application for a new license.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days. Every day that a violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
