Article I Authorized Activities
[Adopted 5-12-1982 by Ord. No. 1267 (Ch. 8, Art. I, of the 1977 Code)]
The Town Council of the Borough of West View hereby recognizes and authorizes the following additional West View Volunteer Fire Department activities in addition to those normally considered (the fighting of fires and activities directly incidental thereto), the following activities as being necessary and incidental to the operation of the West View Volunteer Fire Department and necessary in its operation:
Attendance at the North Park Fire School.
All activities at North Hills Stadium.
Giving of fire prevention classes.
Maintenance on buildings and equipment.
Santa Claus detail.
Attendance at funeral services.
Working at bingos which are for the purposes of raising money for the Volunteer Fire Department.
Attendance at meetings scheduled by the West View Volunteer Fire Department.
The Town Council of the Borough of West View by the enactment of this article hereby recognizes the aforementioned activities as being part of the duties and responsibilities of the West View Volunteer Fire Department. The only other additional activities are those as are set forth above: the fighting of fires and work necessary and incidental thereto.
By enactment of this article, the Town Council of the Borough of West View does not recognize any other activity other than those set forth herein as being necessary and incidental to the operation of the Volunteer Fire Department of the Borough of West View.
