GENERAL REFERENCES
Peace and good order — See Ch. 235.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
Includes any pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun, machine gun,
automatic and semiautomatic rifle or other firearm, as the term is
commonly used, or bow and arrow.
No person shall discharge any firearm or weapon within the Township
of Berlin.
This chapter shall not pertain to any law enforcement officer,
as defined in N.J.S.A. 2A:151-43,[1] while engaged in the actual performance of the duties
of his position.

Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a
fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment in the county jail for
a term not to exceed 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the court.
The continuation of such violation for each successive day shall constitute
a separate offense, and the person or persons allowing or permitting
the continuation of the violation may be punished as provided above
for each separate offense.
