The CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1995 Edition, chapters
29 through 37, and Appendix B and C, as published by the Council of
American Building Officials (CABO) and the International Plumbing
Code, 1995 Edition, as published by the International Code Council,
Inc., copies of which are on file with the township secretary/manager,
are hereby adopted by reference as the Plymouth Township Plumbing
Code and shall govern the performance of all plumbing work within
the township.

The construction, repair, or alteration of plumbing, plumbing
systems, drainage, septic or sewer systems, and septic or sewer connections
shall be done only under and in accordance with the rules, regulations
and requirements of this chapter.

It shall be the duty of every person engaged in the construction
of or who, as owner, tenant or occupier, or as agent thereof, hires
anyone to construct, repair or alter plumbing, plumbing systems, drainage,
septic or sewer systems, and septic or sewage connections to see that
application is made to the township for and that a permit is secured
for the work. The application shall be made only by a registered master
plumber licensed by Plymouth Township.

In interpreting and applying the provisions of this chapter,
they shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion
of the health, safety and welfare of the township. It is not the intent
of this chapter to abrogate, annul or repeal the township zoning ordinance,
the township building code or any rules, regulations or permits issued
or adopted thereunder not in conflict with this chapter.

Nothing contained herein shall be construed to refer to or govern
storm sewer drainage piping which is specifically excluded from the
plumbing code of Plymouth Township.

Amendments to the CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1995
Edition, chapters 29 through 37, and Appendix B and C, as published
by the Council of American Building Officials, (CABO), shall be amended
in the following respects:

Amendments to the International Plumbing Code, 1995 Edition,
as published by the International Code Council, Inc., shall be as
set forth below:
(1) Sec. 101.1 — Insert Plymouth Township. (Name of Jurisdiction.)
(2) Sec. 106.5.2 — Fee Schedule. The applicant for a permit shall,
at the time of securing a permit, pay to the code official a permit
fee in accordance with a schedule of fees established from time to
time by resolution of township council.
(3) Sec. 106.5.3.2. and Sec. 106.5.3.3. — Insert 50% in both section
106.5.3.2. and section 106.5.3.3.
(4) Sec. 108.4. — Insert $1,000.00 thirty (30) days.
(5) Sec. 108.5. — Insert $1,000.00 thirty (30) days.
(6) Sec. 306.6. — Freezing. Delete the words "than 12 inches (305
mm) deep nor less" and insert "or a minimum of 36 inches (915 mm)
below finish grade."
(7) Sec. 306.6.1. — Insert 30 inches (765 mm) and 30 inches (765
mm).
(8) Chapter
12 — Fuel Piping. Delete.
(9) Chapter
13 — Special Piping and Storage Systems. Delete.
(10) Appendix C — Gray Water Recycling Systems. Delete.
(11) Degree day and design temperatures for this in the United States.
Delete.
