A. 
The connection fee for commercial natural gas shall be $550.
B. 
The connection fees for residential natural gas are as follows:
(1) 
New construction: $250.
(2) 
Conversion: $50.
The fees for a standard (3/4-inch) residential water connection shall be as follows: cost plus 20%. "Cost" is defined as the price of materials from the City's most recently available bid. The connection fee charged will not include the cost of labor. The list of materials to be charged for may include saddle, corporation stop, meter setter, meter and meter can.
The following fees for a water connection (commercial or residential use) larger than 3/4 inch shall be: cost plus $200. "Cost" is defined as the price of materials from the City's most recently available bid. The connection fee charged will not include the cost of labor. The list of materials to be charged for may include saddle, corporation stop, meter setter, meter and meter can.
When required, the cost of asphalt, concrete cuts/replacement and dewatering charges are to be charged in addition to those fees described above and to be determined as follows: market price of asphalt and concrete to be charged on a square-foot basis.
Payment is due at the time services are requested.
Any decision by the Water Superintendent with respect to water connection fees or denial of access to the water system may be appealed to the City Council by filing a notice of appeal of decision with the City Clerk. The decision of the Water Superintendent is not stayed during the pendency of such an appeal; the user shall pay the charges, if any, according to the decision of the Water Superintendent during the pendency of such appeal, and if the decision of the Water Superintendent is reversed, adjustment shall be made upon the next succeeding statement of charges.
The fees for connection to the municipal water and natural gas system (as described above) include all costs associated with a connection up to 100 feet of service line. No person shall connect with or tap into the municipal water or natural gas system without the written consent of the Water or Natural Gas Superintendent.
