Building Board of Appeals — See Ch. 18.
Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate any
provision of the State Building Code as adopted by the Town and as
amended from time to time or shall fail to comply with any of the
requirements thereof or shall erect, construct, alter or repair a
building or structure in violation of any approved plan or directive
of the Building Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under
the provisions of the State Building Code, shall be served with a
stop order by the Building Official, and thereafter any person, firm
or corporation who or which shall continue to work in or about a building,
except such work as he or it is directed to perform to remove a violation
or unsafe condition, shall be liable to a fine of not less than $100
for the first day of any such violation and $25 for each day that
such violation continues in addition to all other penalties imposed
by the State Building Code.
