The Volunteer Fire Department shall consist of one Fire Chief,
one Deputy Chief, one Assistant Chief, one Battalion Chief and as
many firefighters as are determined by the bylaws and authorized at
the annual meeting of the Department, and such additional personnel
as may be authorized from time to time.
The Volunteer Fire Department shall be organized and governed
pursuant to the rules and regulations adopted by its membership and
as amended from time to time. All such rules and regulations shall
be approved by the Council before they shall become effective.

There shall be provided to each member of the Fire Department
reimbursement for travel expenses and cleaning and replacement of
damaged clothing. The treasurer of the Fire Department shall annually
file with the City Clerk/Treasurer an expenses voucher for the same.
The Fire Chief shall select a crew for rural fires as prescribed
by the bylaws, except that in cases of emergency he may call a larger
crew. He shall determine the number of hours served by each Fire Department
member at any rural fire.
