the Town of Brentwood (Ch. 73 of the 1986 Code). Amendments noted

No person or persons in the Town of Brentwood, except duly authorized
police officers and others charged with law enforcement, shall carry
or wear, openly or concealed, any firearms or any other dangerous
weapon on or about his person.
No person or persons shall discharge any gun, pistol, air rifle
or other firearm in the Town of Brentwood except in protection of
his or her life or property.
This chapter shall not apply to persons having a permit or legal
right to carry and discharge firearms, nor shall it be construed to
obstruct the erection or operation of properly constructed and properly
licensed shooting galleries or target ranges.
