The Fire Prevention Code in force and effect in Prince George's County is hereby adopted to be the Fire Prevention Code for the Town of Brentwood.

No person or persons, firm or corporation shall cause or permit to exist, in or on any premises in the Town of Brentwood, any excessive accumulation or stock of wastepaper, rags or flammable material without first providing storage facilities in a room or other place of fireproof construction, or in a building distinct and separate from any building used as a dwelling or place of public access or assembly.
No person shall permit to exist on any premises or parcel of land in the Town of Brentwood dry weeds or dead vegetation of such quantity and magnitude that, if they should burn, would constitute a danger to buildings or other improvements located on the premises or on adjacent or nearby premises.
No person or persons, firm or corporation, owning, leasing or operating in the Town of Brentwood any building, premises or place of business or assembly to which the public is admitted, shall refuse to permit the Fire Marshal to have admission and access to all parts of the building and premises for the purpose of ascertaining whether or not said building or premises are reasonably safe and free from fire hazards.
The Fire Marshal shall be appointed by the Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood and shall hold office until his successor is duly appointed and qualified.
