The National Electrical Code, 2011 Edition, as published by
the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted as the
Electrical Code of the City for the control of buildings and structures
within the City. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties,
conditions and terms of the code are hereby adopted by reference and
made a part of this Article as if fully set out in this Article, with
the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed
in 500.050. One (1) copy of the 2011 National Electrical Code is on
file in the office of the City Clerk.

The 2011 National Electrical Code is hereby amended as follows:
Article 230.70 (A)(1). Readily Accessible Location. The service
disconnect means shall be installed outside every building and structure.
Building or structure remodels will require an outside disconnect
as set forth in this text unless the Code Official or his designee
exempts it from requirement. Each occupant shall have access to the
disconnect serving the building, structure or space he or she occupies.
Article 404.8(A). Location: All switches and circuit breakers
used as switches shall be located so that they may be operated from
a readily accessible place. They shall be installed such that the
center of the grip of the operating handle of the switch or circuit
breaker, when in its highest position, is not more than 66 inches
(5 ft 6 in.)
Article 553. Floating buildings permitted and inspected by the
Osage Beach Fire Protection District or the District's designee
shall be considered as in compliance with this section and no further
inspection of permitting under this section shall be required.
Article 555. Marinas and boatyards permitted and inspected by
the Osage Beach Fire Protection District or the District's designee
shall be considered as in compliance with this section and no further
inspection or permitting under this section shall be required.

The 2012 International Building Code as adopted shall apply
to the provisions of this Article.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
the National Electrical Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed
guilty of an ordinance violation and upon conviction thereof shall
be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00)
or be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for a period of not exceeding
ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such
violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a
separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
