A Park Board is hereby established. It shall consist of not
less than five (5) nor more than nine (9) members appointed by the
Mayor with the approval of the Board of Aldermen, each of whom shall
serve until April first (1st) next following their appointment. The
Park Board shall have a president and such other officers as the members
deem necessary.

The Park Board shall meet periodically but no less than twice
annually and make written recommendations to the Board of Aldermen
regarding the operation and maintenance of all park grounds and facilities
together with written recommendations regarding the operation and/or
conduct of recreational activities thereon.

No compensation shall be paid to any member of the Park Board.

A Park Fund is hereby established within the City Treasury for
the maintenance and operation of all park grounds and facilities and
the funding of recreational activities conducted thereon. The Park
Fund shall be kept separate from other money of the City.
