All users must register and obtain a badge from the Livingston Senior,
Youth and Leisure Services Department (SYLS). The badge, in the form
of a sticker, which will contain a personal ID number, must be worn
on the protective helmet worn by the skate park user.
Residents of Livingston shall skate for free. Nonresidents will be
required to purchase, for a one-time fee of $50, a badge which will
allow them to skate at the Livingston Park. If either a Livingston
resident or nonresident needs to replace his/her badge, then an administrative
fee of $10 will be charged. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 36-1997, the
Town Council by resolution can modify these fees if requested by the
SYLS Department.
All users must sign the Livingston Skate Park "Participation Release
of Liability Form." Participants under the age of 18 must have their
parents or guardians also sign this form. This form must be done at
the time of obtaining a skate park badge.
The skate park is a skate-at-your-own-risk facility, designed for
skateboarding, inline skating and BMX biking only. The skate park
will not be supervised. Users will skate at their own risk.
All participants under the age of 17 years must wear a helmet as
mandated by the New Jersey Statute Title 39. Knee, elbow and wristbands
are strongly recommended for skaters age 11 or older but are mandatory
for skaters younger than age 11.
