A. Adoption. The Board of Aldermen hereby adopts the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code, as published by the International Code Council, and all referenced standards therein as if spelled out in this Article, except such portions thereof as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. This code shall be designated as Section
500.210, Property Maintenance Code of Title V, Building and Construction known as part of the Strafford Municipal Code. One (1) copy of said code is on file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall 126 South Washington Avenue, Strafford, Missouri.
B. The
2018 International Property Maintenance Code, as adopted, is hereby
amended, and changed as follows:
1. 101.1 Title. Insert: City of Strafford, Missouri.
2. 103.5 Fees. Delete this Section in its entirety. Insert: Strafford Municipal Code Section
500.480.
3. 112.4 Failure To Comply. Delete this Section in its
entirety.
4. 302.4 Weeds. Insert: (10 inches).
5. 304.3 Premise Identification. Delete this Section in
its entirety.
6. 304.14 Insect Screens. Insert: (April 1) (November 1).
7. 602.3 Heat Supply. Insert: (October 1) (April 30).
8. 602.4 Occupiable Work Spaces. (October 1) (April 30).

Nothing in this Article or in the Property Maintenance Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in Section
500.240 of this Article; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or effected by this Article.

All City of Strafford ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
are herewith and hereby repealed.
Any person who shall violate a provision of this code or shall
fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred
dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days,
or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues
after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
