The Mayor shall have general supervision over the cemetery belonging to the City and the sale and disposal of lots therein and, when ordered by the Board and upon such terms as the Board may name, employ some suitable person or persons to care for said cemetery and keep the same clear and free from weeds and rubbish.

The Board of Aldermen may contract for the erection of fences or other improvements about such cemetery from time to time as said Board may deem proper and pay for such improvements out of the General Fund of the City or the Cemetery Fund mentioned in Section 140.040 of this Article.
The cemetery lots owned by the City of Hayti shall be conveyed by deed signed by the Mayor, duly attested by the City Clerk, or other officer performing the duties of Clerk, and shall vest in the purchaser, his/her heirs and assigns, a right in fee simple to such lot for the sole purpose of interment pursuant to the regulations of the City, except that such fee simple right may be revested in the City pursuant to Section 214.035, RSMo.

All monies paid to the City Collector for cemetery lots and paid into the City Treasury shall be assigned to a fund to be known as the "Cemetery Fund", which fund shall be kept separate from the other monies belonging to the City, and no warrant shall be drawn on such fund except for the payment of obligations incurred by the City in the improvement or the keeping of said cemetery; provided, the City may pay its General Fund out of said Cemetery Fund for money expended on or for said cemetery out of the General Fund of said City.

The fees for City services provided at the city cemetery shall be as follows:

B. 
The fees imposed hereby shall be effective from and after June 1, 2020.
