Authorities, boards, commissions and committees in existence on the effective date of the Township Charter shall continue in existence subject to the right of the Council to abolish or change the name, functions, powers or duties of any existing authority, board, commission or committee consistent with the law. Any such action by the Council shall be taken by ordinance enacted as prescribed in the Charter.

By ordinance or resolution, the Council may establish any new board, commission or committee and specify its powers, duties and functions. Any such ordinances may be amended at any later time to modify the specified powers, duties and functions in addition to those prescribed by the Township Charter.

The composition, term and organization of all boards, commissions and committees shall be as prescribed by the Township Charter. The Council shall make every effort to ensure that each board, commission and committee functioning in the township is represented by at least one member from each voting district in the Township.
