The speed limits for both directions of traffic along the highways
or parts thereof described below are hereby established at the rate
of speed indicated. No person shall operate a motor vehicle at such
locations in excess of the speed limits indicated.

The speed limits established in Section 424.01 shall be posted in accordance with the requirements of the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, 75 Pa.C.S.A. Sec. 3362(b), as amended.

Any person violating any of the provisions of Section 424.01 is guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $35. Any person exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than five miles per hour shall pay an additional fine of $2 per mile for each mile in excess of five miles per hour over the maximum speed limit.
