The Township shall have and may exercise any power or perform
any function not expressly denied by or inconsistent with the Constitution
and laws of the United States of America, the Constitution and general
laws of uniform applicability of the Commonwealth, or provisions of
this Charter. The Township shall continue to possess all powers now
vested in it by law.
The powers of the Township shall be liberally construed in favor
of the Township in order to provide the Township with the greatest
possible degree of self government. The specific mention of particular
powers in the Charter shall not be construed as limiting in any way
the general powers stated in this Article. All possible powers and
functions of the Township are to be considered as if specifically
and individually set forth in this Charter, whether such powers are
presently available or hereafter may become available.
