The City Council of the City of Pittston hereby finds and declares
that there is a need for a Redevelopment Authority to function within
the territorial limits of said City and be so incorporated, and that
the Authority Board be comprised of five members appointed by the
City Council to serve five-year terms, except that, to stagger terms
of office, the first members shall serve terms of one, two, three,
four and five years and successive appointments to serve the full
five-year terms of office, and any vacancies caused by death, resignation
or disqualification shall be filled by City Council for the remainder
of the original term.
A certified copy of this article shall be filed with the Department
of State, and a like copy shall be filed with the Department of Commerce,
and the Clerk to the said Council and Solicitor be and are hereby
authorized to incorporate and establish the same.
