There is hereby created a board consisting of five (5) citizens
appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council and one
(1) ex officio member which shall be known and is designated as the
Airport Advisory Board.

A. Qualifications. Members of the Airport Advisory Board shall
be residents of the Farmington R-VII School District.
B. Term Of Members. Members of the Airport Advisory Board shall
hold their respective office from the first (1st) of June following
their appointment. They shall be appointed for a term of three (3)
years.
C. Ex Officio Member. The Chairman of the Farmington Area Chamber
of Commerce Transportation Committee shall maintain liaison with the
Chamber of Commerce, but shall not have a vote in the decisions of
the Airport Advisory Board.
D. Tenure. Members of the Airport Advisory Board shall serve
at the pleasure of the City Council and may be removed by the Mayor
with the consent of the City Council.
E. Vacancies. Vacancies shall be filled by the Mayor, with
the consent of the City Council and appointments shall be for the
unexpired term of his/her predecessor.

The Airport Advisory Board shall conduct regular meetings as
necessary to fulfill the duties and obligations of the Board. The
Airport Advisory Board shall adopt bylaws consistent with the intent
of this Article.

The Airport Advisory Board Shall elect a Chairman, a Vice Chairman,
and a Secretary to serve a term of one (1) year each. The names of
officers shall be reported to the City Council as soon as practicable
following their appointment.

A. The
Airport Advisory Board shall act in an advisory capacity to the City
Council and City Administrator to review, promote, and expedite development
of the Farmington Regional Airport.
B. The
Airport Advisory Board may investigate or study any problem or condition
related to the construction, improvement or addition to the airport.
