Section 3 of the Public Officers Law is hereby amended and superseded
in its application to the Town of Canandaigua to provide that a Code
Enforcement Officer of the Town of Canandaigua at the time of appointment
and throughout the term of office need not be a resident of the Town
of Canandaigua, so long as he or she is a resident of the State of
New York.
