That a certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bowling Green, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Building Code, 2015 Edition, including all Appendix Chapters, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of Bowling Green, in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use and the demolition of such structures as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Building Code on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this legislation, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.020 of this Article.

The following Sections of the Building Code adopted in Section 500.010 hereof are hereby revised:
Section 101.1. Insert: Bowling Green, Missouri.
Section 1612.3. Insert: Bowling Green, Missouri.

A. 
Building permits expire within six (6) months from the date the permit is issued, unless construction has begun. Work must continue until the project is complete; if work stops for a period of three (3) months, the building permit will expire. If the building permit expires, all work must cease until a new building permit has been applied for and issued.
B. 
The fee for a building permit is calculated as follows: R1 and R2 estimated cost of construction is multiplied by .0032. R3, R4, Commercial and Industrial estimated cost is multiplied by .0039. The fee shall be the greater of the fee calculated as set forth herein or twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
