A. 
Permits may be issued to applicants pursuant to a site plan application to allow new construction or improvements on real property.
B. 
No permit may be issued under this Section 500.285 unless the site plan application is in order and approved by the City Building Inspector consistent with provisions of the City Code and regulations. If a site plan application is rejected, the City Building Inspector shall advise of the application deficiencies and the applicant shall have thirty (30) days to submit a sufficient application or the application shall be deemed rejected requiring the submission of a new site plan application and permit fee as provided for herein.
C. 
Permits shall be issued by the City Building Inspector pursuant to the criteria as set forth in the site plan application, on file in the City offices as Exhibit A, within thirty (30) days unless additional time is required. The City Building Inspector shall advise the applicant if additional time for review and approval is required.
D. 
Permits shall be granted for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days. Permits may be renewed for one (1) additional one hundred eighty (180) day period for good cause shown.
E. 
Permits will be issued upon compliance with this Section 500.285 and the payment of a permit fee as determined by the Board of Aldermen.
F. 
Any construction which would be permitted under this Section 500.285 shall be considered a violation of the City Code if a permit has not yet been issued or if a stop work order has been issued by the City Building Inspector to the applicant.
