The purpose of this chapter is to establish rules and regulations for the protection, care and control of the Township facilities.
Any individual or group wishing to use the Township Municipal Building or any other Township-owned facility shall file an application with the Township Clerk's office. A copy of the application can be obtained from the Township Clerk.
A. 
All applications are subject to the approval of the Township Committee.
B. 
Standards for issuance of approval shall include the following:
(1) 
That the proposed activity or use of the municipal facility will not unreasonably interfere with or detract from the general public enjoyment of the facility.
(2) 
That the proposed activity and use will not unreasonably interfere with or detract from the promotion of public health, welfare and safety.
(3) 
That the proposed activity or uses that are reasonably anticipated will not include violence, crime or disorderly conduct.
(4) 
That the proposed activity will not entail extraordinary or burdensome expense or police operation by the Township.
(5) 
That the facility desired has not been reserved for other use on the date and hour requested in the application.
Applicants are required to indemnify and hold the Township harmless for its use of the facility. By submitting the application, applicants are agreeing the indemnity and hold harmless language contained in the application. Applicants are required to provide proof of insurance to the Township Clerk in advance of the use. The insurance requirements and amounts are listed on the application.
The Township Committee shall have the authority to revoke a permit upon the finding of a violation of any rule or ordinance or upon good cause shown. The Township police and designated Township employees shall, in connection with their duties imposed by law, diligently enforce the provisions of this chapter and shall have the authority to order any person or persons acting in violation of this chapter to leave the municipal facility.
No person(s) shall possess, sell or consume alcoholic beverages on municipal property without a resolution of the governing body authorizing the possession, sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Applicants shall be responsible for cleaning of the facility after its use. The facility shall be left in the same condition it was prior to use. All trash must be removed from the property, and all furniture must be put back to its location prior to use. The applicant shall be responsible for any damage to the Township's property during use.
Any person(s) violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalties set forth in Chapter 1, Article I, General Penalty.
