There shall be a Superintendent of Public Water, Chief Treatment
Plant Operator, Head Treatment Plant Operator, Working Forman, Treatment
Plant Operators, Water Machinery Repairmen, Water/Sewer System Maintenance
Men, and Seasonal Laborers.

Each position listed in Section
2-282.1 herein shall be supervised by the Commissioner of Public Utilities.

(1) The Superintendent of Public Water shall be directly responsible
for the proper and safe operation and maintenance of water supply,
treatment and distribution facilities in accordance with established
local, state and federal laws, ordinances, rules and regulations governing
the supply and treatment of drinking water. The Superintendent of
Public Water shall be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance
of sewage collection and pumping facilities in accordance with all
federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
(2) The Superintendent of Public Water shall also maintain control over
the Water Division and Sewer Division budget expenditures and accounts,
including control of the divisional inventory of vehicles, equipment
and supplies purchased for use by the Water Division and Sewer Division.
(3) The Superintendent of Public Water shall also have the duties as set forth in Chapter
22, Article
I, In General, Section
22-6.
