A. Any person or authorized representative of such person owning or
occupying premises and desiring to tap, break into or connect the
same with the sanitary sewer system of the Township shall make application
to the Township Committee, in writing, for a permit to do so. The
application shall be made upon forms furnished by the Township Engineer.
B. The permit shall not be issued until the payment to the Township
of the fees hereinafter provided:

(1) For each hookup of a pipe up to and including four inches in diameter,
the fee for connection shall be $250.
(2) For each hookup greater than four inches in diameter but not eight
inches or more, the fee for connection shall be $400.
(3) For each hookup eight inches or more, the fee for connection shall
be $800.
C. All fees generated from Subsection
B above shall be deposited in a capital fund dedicated for inflow and infiltration projects.
D. If street openings are required to make such connections, an additional application shall be made and additional fees required in accordance with the provisions of §§
367-40 and
367-42 of Ch.
367, Streets and Sidewalks, of this Code.
No lateral or other sewer shall be constructed in any public
street in the Township except by or under the control of the Township
Committee; provided, however, that connections with the Township sanitary
sewers may be made as provided in this article.
No surface pipe, rainwater pipe, exhaust pipe, sewer pipe or
any other pipe or sewer receptacle or conduit, except such as are
used for the purpose of containing or conveying the ordinary sewage
of a house or other building, shall be connected, directly or indirectly,
with any of the sanitary sewers of the Township.
All sewer connections between the sanitary sewers and street
lines shall be made under the supervision of and to the satisfaction
of the Township Engineer or his representative.
No person shall connect any house or other building with any
of the Township sanitary sewers until such house or building shall
be completely roofed in.
All openings in streets for sewer connections shall be properly
guarded both day and night until such openings are properly filled
and the street restored to its former condition. All damage and injury
done to persons and property in making connections with the sewers
shall be borne by the person making such sewer connections.
No person shall drain, empty or place anything in any sewer except by the ordinary and proper use of connections installed in accordance with the provisions of this Part
1.
No person shall interfere, meddle or tamper with, or in any
manner obstruct, hamper or interfere with, the operation of any of
the sanitary sewers of the Township or their appurtenances.
