There is hereby created and established in and for the Borough of Berlin the office of Registrar of Vital Statistics. The Mayor shall nominate and, with the advice and consent of Borough Council, appoint the Registrar of Vital Statistics in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:60-5 and N.J.S.A. 40A:60-6, including the filling of any vacancy therein, which shall be for the unexpired term only. The Registrar of Vital Statistics shall hold office at the pleasure of the Borough Council, but, unless sooner removed, shall hold office until December 31 of the year in which he/she shall have been appointed.
A. 
The Registrar of Vital Statistics shall perform all duties required by law, and all fees collected shall be turned over to the Borough Treasurer for deposit as required by N.J.S.A. 40A:5-15.
B. 
In addition to any other fees collected by the Registrar of Vital Statistics, pursuant to other sections of the Code of the Borough of Berlin, or appropriate state statutes and/or regulations, the Registrar of Vital Statistics shall collect the following fees:
(1) 
Certified copies of birth, marriage or death certificates: $10 per copy.
(2) 
Vital statistics corrections: $20 per copy.
