All users are hereby advised that the leash-free dog area is
an unsupervised recreational area of Hillsborough Township and are
advised that the use of this facility is at their own risk.
A. Users must abide by all rules and regulations governing the use of Hillsborough Township parklands, pursuant to this article and Chapter
221 of the Code of the Township of Hillsborough.
B. Children under eight years of age are not permitted within the leash-free
dog area. Children between ages eight and 12 must be accompanied by
an adult 18 years of age or older. All children and adults enter at
their own risk.
C. Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and upon leaving. Users must
remain with their dogs at all times and must carry a leash for each
dog at all times. Dogs must wear collars displaying licenses at all
times and have current vaccinations.
D. Users are responsible at all times for the behavior and safety of
their dogs.
E. Dogs with a history of dangerous or aggressive behavior are prohibited.
F. Dogs must be spayed or neutered.
G. Puppies under six months old are prohibited.
H. Users must properly secure access gates upon entering and leaving
the leash-free area.
I. All persons bringing food containers or play items to the dog park
shall remove the same before leaving the dog park.
J. Users must clean up after their dogs.
K. There shall be a limit of two dogs per adult.
L. All incidents and injuries must be reported immediately to the Hillsborough
Township Police Department at 908-369-4323.
