Any permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall be subject
to cancellation after a hearing, in the event of a finding by the
Sewer Commission at such hearing that the user or permittee of the
sewerage system has violated any of the provisions of this chapter.
Such hearing shall take place on 10 days' written notice to the permittee
or user. Upon any cancellation provided for in this section, or otherwise
in this article, the Sewer Commission may terminate the use of the
sewer by severing the connection to the sewerage system.
[Amended 11-4-1985 by L.L. No. 10-1985]
A. Any person violating any provisions of this chapter shall be responsible
in money damages for any injury to the sewer system, surcharges or
expenses caused the Commission by such violation. The money may be
collected by adding the expenses or surcharges for the violation onto
the quarterly sewer bill.
B. Any person violating any provisions of this chapter and interfering with or entering or using said sewer systems without obtaining permission hereunder shall be guilty of an offense and subject to a penalty as provided in §
1-1 of the Code of the Village of Manchester.
In the event that the provisions of this chapter are inconsistent
with the provisions of any local law of the Village heretofore adopted,
the provisions of this chapter shall be applicable and shall supersede
such inconsistent prior provision. However, in such event only the
prior provisions inconsistent with any provision of this chapter shall
be deemed superseded and all other provisions in any such heretofore
adopted local law not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter
shall remain in full force and effect.
