A. It is unlawful for any person elected, appointed or hired to remove
and/or lend Velda Village Hills property for personal use, citizen
use, and/or any entity working within the City.
B. At the end of each Alderman's term (be it voluntary or loss of term),
all property belonging to the City of Velda Village Hills must be
turned into the Custodian of Records, either at the setting of the
Board or immediately thereafter.
C. It is the policy of Velda Village Hills for newly elected officials
and new employees to be assigned a folder and the use of City property,
which at the time must be signed for and returned upon the time of
said person's separation.
D. As used in this Section, unless the context otherwise indicates,
the following terms mean:
APPARATUS
Any machinery, tools, computers purchased by Velda Village
Hills.
CONTRACTS
Any written agreement between the City of Velda Village Hills
and said contractor.
SUPPLIES
Any letterhead, badges, keys, cell phones, and/or any document
used for the purpose of display.
E. Anyone in violation of this Section shall be reported to the proper authority and penalized in accordance with Section
100.220 of this Code.

A. In order to sell and/or dispose of any and all property purchased
by, or donated to the City of Velda Village Hills, all said property
must be voted on unanimously for sale or disposal by the Board of
Aldermen.
B. Once voted on, the item or items will be advertised to the residents
of Velda Village Hills before the item or items are advertised in
two (2) newspapers for the general public. At this time, closed bids
will be accepted and opened publicly on the date given in the advertisement.
Under no circumstances shall City property be sold or disposed of
in any other manner.
C. Once the item is sold, all proceeds must be deposited into the General
Fund Account for the City of Velda Village Hills.
D. If at any time there is a violation against this Section, the said
Board member or members will be fined not less than the value of said
item or items.
