Section 115.340 Office Created.

The office of City Counselor for the City is hereby created.

Section 115.350 Appointment, Term.

The Mayor, with the consent and approval of a majority of the City Council, is hereby authorized to appoint a City Counselor, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Council.

Section 115.360 Compensation.

The compensation to be paid the City Counselor shall be fixed by ordinance or resolution of the City Council, and shall be payable monthly.

Section 115.370 Duties.

The City Counselor shall represent the City in all cases in all courts of record in this state; shall draft all ordinances and contracts and all legal forms of every kind; shall give legal advice to the Council and other officers of the City; and shall perform such other duties as shall be prescribed by ordinance or shall be ordered by the Council or the Mayor.
