The purpose of this article is to set forth a process for the naming or renaming of City streets.

The procedure for naming or renaming a street shall be in accordance with the ordinance entitled "City of Altoona Approval of an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement for Street Addressing" and the terms of said Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement.[1]

Immediately after the naming of any street becomes effective, the City is authorized and directed to add such street name or rename such street cited to the City Block Plan and all necessary signing to identify such name is hereby authorized.
