Any person found to be violating any provision of this chapter shall be served by the City with written notice stating the nature of the violation and provide a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. Within the period of time stated in such notice, the offender shall permanently cease all violations.
Any person that continues any violation beyond the time limit provided for in § 493-34 shall, upon conviction thereof, pay forfeiture in the amount of at least $50 and not more than $1,000 for each violation. Each day in which any such violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall become liable to the City and others, as their interests may appear, for any expense, loss, or damage occasioned the City or others by reason of such violation, including any costs in connection with repairing damages to the wastewater facilities or any downstream user of facilities damaged as a result of a prohibited discharge or any other violation of this chapter.
