The Council of the Borough of Ingram does hereby approve the entry into an Amended Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement ("Amended and Restated Agreement") with the City of Pittsburgh in the form and content attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit B.[1]

The conditions of the Amended Agreement are fully set forth in the Amended Agreement attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit B.
The duration of the Amended Agreement is for a term of 10 years which commenced on April 11, 2016, and is subject to an option to renew for additional five-year option terms upon agreed upon terms and conditions.
The purpose and the objects of the Amended Agreement and the power and the scope of authority delegated to the City of Pittsburgh are fully set forth in paragraphs 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the Agreement (Exhibit A) which are incorporated herein by reference thereto.[1]

During the term of the Amended Agreement, the payment for services to the City of Pittsburgh, in the amounts set forth on Exhibit A to the Amended Agreement (Exhibit B), which are incorporated herein by reference thereto, will be paid through general millage adopted by the Borough of Ingram and/or separate fire protection millage adopted by the Borough of Ingram.
The organizational structure necessary to implement the Amended Agreement are set forth in the scope of services to provide by the City of Pittsburgh in paragraphs 7, 8 and 9 of the Agreement attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit A.
The President of Council and Borough Secretary are authorized to affix their signatures to the Amended Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit B.
This article shall become effective upon adoption and the Amended Agreement shall be effective upon the full execution of the Agreement by the parties.
By virtue of the adoption of this article approving the entry into the Amended Agreement, the City of Pittsburgh continues to hereby be designated and appointed as the official and exclusive Fire Department for the Borough of Ingram and is the sole authorized entity to provide fire protection services in the Borough.
