No person or persons shall engage, within the City of Reedsburg, the artificial feeding of any large, nondomestic, wildlife including, but not limited to, members of the deer family, wild turkeys, pheasants, wolf, coyote or bear. "Artificial feeding" is defined as the placement of shelled corn and/or other types of grain, salt or minerals on the ground or in feeders, troughs or other types of structures or receptacles for the purpose of promoting the feeding of such large wildlife animals. This prohibition shall not apply to the feeding of songbirds, squirrels and other small, nondomestic wildlife.
Any person violating this article, upon conviction, shall forfeit not less than $25 nor more than $150, together with costs for the first offence. For each subsequent offense, however, the owner will be assessed the amount of the previous fine plus an additional $25; the maximum fine being $500, together with the cost of prosecution. If the violation continues, each day's violation shall begin a separate violation.
