No person shall launch, moor, or tie any boat to or from any park lands except in the properly designated areas, and unless granted a permit from the Town of Lansing.
The permit holder agrees to keep his assigned area clean and neat at all times and shall store all waste materials in receptacles provided by the Town.
The permit holder shall supply all necessary mooring and "anti-scuff" equipment, such equipment being subject to the approval of the superintendent of the Town Park.
The permit holder shall keep the boat equipped with all of the safety equipment required by the State of New York and the United States Coast Guard.
Only one boat shall be berthed per slip. Small boats of any type will be charged slip rental if in the water, or, if on dry land, the appropriate dry dock fee.
Boat trailers may not be stored in the park.
No campers of any type may be kept on the park premises except by special permit.
No operation of boats for hire will be permitted without the specific approval of the Town of Lansing.
The permit holder of the slip agrees that at all times free access will be given to the representatives of the Town of Lansing, state or federal officials, for inspection purposes.
Any boat having summer dockage must comply with the anti-pollution law to the extent that a toilet's through hull fitting must be removed and the hole sealed at the time the boat is returned to the water and must be kept sealed when in the waterways so designated.
A permit holder who changes boats or home address or telephone number must register the new statistics with the Town of Lansing within 10 days of change.
Boats which have not been removed from their assigned slip or storage area by November 1 of any year may be removed by the Town of Lansing, or by order or designee, to a commercial storage operator, unless written authorization has been obtained for an extended docking from the Town of Lansing. Any boat, or boat and motor, just removed and stored may be recovered by the owner upon payment to the Town of Lansing of all storage and other charges, plus a 20% service charge.
Town of Lansing shall have the right to sell at public auction any boat, motor or accessory not recovered by the owner by July 15 following such winter storage.
Boat slip permits are not transferable. Sale of a boat terminates the boat slip rental permit for the owner of the boat at the time of sale. The new owner of a boat must obtain a new permit from the Town for dockage. There is no subleasing by an owner of his slip will be permitted.
Sailboats must paddle or motor out of the marina and channel entrance.
Boats with integral gas tanks are not allowed to gas at the docks.
The Town of Lansing will not be responsible for any damage occurring to boat and/or its contents while said boat is in its slip, or on Town of Lansing park property.
The ordinance of the Town of Lansing adopted for the regulation of Town parks are, in addition to these rules and regulations, applicable to the Lansing Marina.
