In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 153, the speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof described in § 153-37, Speed limits established (Schedule 2), is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated in said Schedule. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a higher speed than the maximum prescribed for that street or part of street.
Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated (or are ratified if previously installed) at the intersection of those streets described in § 153-38, Traffic control signals (Schedule 3).
The streets or parts of streets described in § 153-39, One-way streets (Schedule 4), are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated; and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle on any one-way street other than in the direction established for traffic on that street.
The streets or parts of streets described in § 153-40, Do not enter streets (Schedule 5), are hereby designated as "do not enter streets," the entry of which shall be restricted; and, as such, "Do Not Enter" signs shall be properly erected and maintained in accordance with applicable PennDOT regulations.
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any commercial vehicle or other tractor, trailer or tractor-trailer combination, having a gross weight in excess of that respectfully prescribed, upon any of the streets or bridges, or portions thereof, described in § 153-41, Vehicle weight limits (Schedule 6), except for the purpose of making local deliveries on said streets.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in § 153-42, Parking prohibitions (Schedule 7).
The intersections described in § 153-43, Stop intersections (Schedule 8), are hereby established as stop intersections; and official stop signs shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected) in such a position upon the first-named street as to face traffic approaching the second-named street in the direction or directions indicated in said schedule. Every driver of a vehicle approaching any such intersection upon the first-named street, in the direction or directions indicated in each case, shall come to a full stop before entering any such intersection.
No person shall make a left turn at the intersections listed within § 153-44, Left turns prohibited (Schedule 9).
The described intersections listed within § 153-45, Stop except right turn intersections (Schedule 10), are hereby established as "stop except right turn intersections"; and, as such, both "Stop" and "Except Right Turn" signs shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected).
No-passing zones are hereby established along those streets or parts of streets described in § 153-46, No-passing zones (Schedule 11), and it shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to overtake or pass another vehicle or to drive on the left side of the roadway in any no-passing zone described in said schedule.
Fire lane parking is hereby prohibited or restricted in the locations described in § 153-47, Fire lane parking prohibitions (Schedule 12), and, as such, the appropriate "Fire Lane/No Parking" signs and any other applicable signage and markings shall be erected and maintained as indicated in said Schedule 12 in accordance with applicable PennDOT regulations.
Handicapped parking in designated spaces or areas is hereby prohibited or restricted in the locations described in § 153-48, Handicapped parking prohibitions (Schedule 13), and, as such the appropriate handicapped parking signs and any other applicable signage and markings shall be erected and maintained as indicated in said Schedule 13 in accordance with applicable PennDOT regulations.
School zones are hereby established for the portions of the streets indicated in § 153-49, School zones (Schedule 14), and, as such, the appropriate traffic control signals and devices, etc., shall be erected, operated and maintained in accordance with applicable PennDOT regulations.

Truck traffic, commercial vehicles or other trucks, truck tractors, trailers or combinations or vehicles (not including pickups and emergency vehicles), which have a size or weight exceeding the limitations provided) in § 153-50, Truck traffic prohibited (Schedule 15), except local deliveries; and, as such, the approximate trucks prohibited signs and any applicable weight restriction signs, if any, shall be erected and maintained as indicated in said Schedule 15 in accordance with the applicable PennDOT regulations.
No person shall park a vehicle or allow the same to remain parked on any of the streets or parts of streets described in § 153-51, Time limit parking (Schedule 16), between the hours specified for longer than the time indicated in said schedule.
The use of engine brake retarders, otherwise known as "Jake brakes®," on vehicles so equipped are hereby prohibited from use on the streets, or parts thereof, indicated in § 153-52, Brake retarder restrictions (Schedule 17), of this chapter.
This article is enacted under authority of 75 Pa.C.S.A. § 6109(a)(22) of the Vehicle Code and gives authority to the Township to remove and impound vehicles that are parked overtime on any street in the Township in violation of any provision of Articles I, II and III of this chapter.
The Township shall have authority to remove and impound, or to order the removal and impounding, of any vehicle parked overtime or otherwise illegally, provided that the circumstances of its parking were within the conditions stated in § 153-29 of this article and provided that no such vehicle shall be removed or impounded except in strict adherence to the provisions of this article.
Removal and impounding of vehicles under this article shall be done only by one of the Township's Authorized Towing Contractors as designated periodically by the Board of Supervisors in accordance with Resolution No. 2006-24, or any subsequent version thereof. The Authorized Towing Contractor must operate in accordance with all regulations established in the applicable resolution, including, but not limited to, liability insurance coverage, fee schedules, storage and the like.
Within 12 hours from the time of removal of any vehicle under authority granted by this article, notice of the fact that the vehicle was removed shall be sent by the Township to the owner of record of the vehicle. The notice shall designate the place from which the vehicle was removed, the reason for its removal and impounding and the garage in which it was impounded.
The payment of any towing and storage charges authorized by this article shall, unless payment is made under protest, be final and conclusive and shall constitute a waiver of any right to recover the money so paid. If payment of any towing or storage charges is made under protest, the offender shall be entitled to a hearing before a District Justice. Payment of towing and storage charges shall not relieve the owner or driver of any vehicle from liability for any fine or penalty for the violation of the provision of this chapter for which the vehicle was removed or impounded.
The Township shall cause a record to be kept of all vehicles impounded under this article and shall be able at all reasonable times to furnish the owners or the agents of the owners of those vehicles with information as to the place of storage of the vehicle.
No vehicle shall be removed under the authority of this article if, at the time of the intended removal, the owner or the person for the time being in charge of the vehicle is present and expresses a willingness and intention to remove the vehicle immediately.
