The Board of Supervisors of the Township of Newlin, Chester County, Pennsylvania, do hereby establish a fire hydrant tax in accordance with the Second Class Township Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and specifically Section 1802(a)(1).[1]

The tax shall be an equal assessment upon real property within 780 feet of a fire hydrant. The assessment shall apply to all property whether or not exempt from taxation by existing law. The assessment shall be based upon the annual costs of the provision, maintenance, and operation of the fire hydrants within the Township. The fire hydrant tax/fee shall be as set forth by resolution as adopted by the Board of the Supervisors of Newlin Township.
