In order to have control over proposed spending, department operational expenditures should be reviewed to determine the necessity of the spending and the cost to Albany County taxpayers.
Effective upon the passage of this resolution, all County department operational spending of $1,000 or more must be reviewed and approved by the Commissioner of Management and Budget.
This policy relates to expenditures related to the operation of a department, such as supplies and equipment, and it does not include County service agreements.
