[Adopted 2-13-2006 by Res. No. 44-2006]
The Legislature believes that it should be the policy of Albany County to inform candidates for grant-funded positions in County government, before they are hired, of possible layoff in the future if the grant is discontinued. The intent of the policy is to ensure that candidates for these positions have been properly notified that the position for which they are applying is grant-funded and that continued budgeting for the position is contingent upon the County receiving further grant funds.
It shall be the responsibility of Commissioners and agency heads to inform job applicants during the interview process before the applicant accepts the position.
The Albany County Legislature hereby adopts a policy of informing candidates for grant-funded positions in Albany County government, before they are hired, of the potential for layoff in the future if the grant is discontinued.
