Editor's Note: This local law was approved by referendum of the voters 3-21-1978.
Games of chance, gambling and gaming for any purpose is specifically prohibited in the Village of the Branch. This prohibition shall include that gambling, under religious or charitable auspices, commonly known as "Las Vegas nights" pursuant to Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
A. 
However, this prohibition does not include those games commonly known as "bingo" or "lotto" conducted under religious or charitable auspices.
B. 
Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis with approval by the Board of Trustees.
