WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP RECREATION DEPARTMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING THE USE OF PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS
(Subsection 14-1.10)
|
I. PROHIBITED ACTIONS
|
1. Use of profanity.

2. Use of alcoholic beverages without a permit.

3. Littering.

4. Use of vehicles on areas other than those established
as roadways and parking areas.

5. Use of fireworks.

6. Creating or maintaining open fires (except in
designated areas utilizing approved and controlled grills).

7. Soliciting or solicitation of any kind is prohibited.

8. Loud music or radio playing as defined in.

9. Allowing unleashed pets in children's play areas.

15. Use of "off road" motorized vehicles of any
type, whether registered or not; except on approved roadways designated

NOTE: During the appropriate season, fields located
within the park are frequently permitted by youth sports organizations.
|
Organizations holding permits have priority over non-permitted
use during the time included in the permit.
|
II. PROHIBITED BEHAVIOR
|
1. Failure to observe age appropriate posting. For

2. Failure to respect fellow children, e.g. not
taking turns on equipment.
|
3. Pushing, shoving, harassment or bullying of others.
|
4. Use of equipment a) for an unintended purpose,
or b) in an unintended or inappropriate manner.
|
5. Bringing glass bottles within the Playground
boundaries.
|
6. Failure to clean up after your pet.
|
7. Smoking within 50 feet of playground equipment.
|
III. HEARING PROCEDURE
|
1. Any violation of Article I of these Rules and
Regulations shall be prosecuted through the Woodbridge Township Municipal
Court relying on the ordinance violated as cited herein.
|
2. Any person accused of a violation of Article
II of these Rules and Regulations shall be entitled to a hearing before
the Woodbridge Township Director of Recreation or his designee.
|
3. Any person accused of a violation of Article
II of these Rules and Regulations shall be informed in writing by
the Woodbridge Township Police Department or the Woodbridge Township
Recreation Department of the alleged violation. Such notice shall
include:
|
a) the alleged offense; the date; time; and location
on which the alleged offense occurred; and
|
b) the date of the hearing at which the accused
party shall be entitled to contest the allegation.
|
4. Any hearing conducted pursuant to these Rules
and Regulations shall take place at a place and time designated by
the Director of the Recreation Department within ten (10) calendar
days of the date on which the violation notice is issued, or such
other date as the parties shall agree.
|
5. At any hearing conducted hereunder, the accused
party shall be entitled to representation by counsel, and to call
witnesses on his behalf.
