The form of government in West Orange is the Mayor-Council
Plan B of Chapter 210 of the Laws of 1950, as amended and supplemented.
Refer to N.J.S.A. 40:69A-31 — 40:69A-34.3. The administrative
code has been drafted in conformity with this law and in many instances
provisions have been restated. Other enabling laws relevant to this
chapter are N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1, et seq., Municipal Court: N.J.S.A. 40:55D-69
Zoning Board of Adjustment: and N.J.S.A. 40:55D-23, Planning Board.
General authority to regulate the internal affairs of the town derives
from N.J.S.A. 40:69A-29.
