This chapter is known and may be cited as "The Township of Holmdel Organization Ordinance."

As used in this chapter:
DEPARTMENT OR OFFICE
Shall mean an organizational unit of the municipal government established or designated by, or pursuant to, this Organizational Code, which was adopted on March 20, 1972, as a department or office.
LAW
Shall mean and includes, but is not limited to, where the same are applicable, the Constitutions of the United States of America and the State of New Jersey, the United States Code, the New Jersey Statutes, resolutions of the Township Committee of the Township of Holmdel, and rules and regulations of administrative agencies of the Township of Holmdel.
MUNICIPALITY
Shall mean the Township of Holmdel in the County of Monmouth and State of New Jersey.
ORDINANCE
Shall mean any and all ordinances of the Township of Holmdel.
TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE
Shall mean the governing body of the Township of Holmdel.

Every municipal department, office, board and employee, whether serving with or without compensation, mentioned herein shall perform each and every duty specified herein and the duties specified elsewhere by law, in accordance with the requirements of law.
